Me & Otis
big mountains made of moons and elementary school scholarships and rivalries / pink noses / feeling left behind by blood and bonds and buried roots / i still sit here in my barbed wire stubborness drinking water from cans and sucking the sap from my hands / hiding behind my shyness and my silly syllables / working my hands down to their handles and to their brick colored paint that lives in-between my sheets and skin / blast from my past left me with a wound / high school sweethearts held me in their hands / i study it all through this telescope and this rear view mirror / welding candles to my fingers / i am a fool for so many things / for so many faces, floods and fruits / someone somewhere better be thinking of my name.
